HY-W SILICA ALUMINA

HY-W is manufactured for use in controlling the dew point of hydrocarbons by reducing the presence of water. This product is resistant to cracking or popping in the presence of water and is used in combination with HY-H or molecular sieve when water saturation is high. This silica product offers a high adsorption capacity and acts as a protective layer for other adsorbents.

  • used to dehydrate saturated hydrocarbon streams
  • allows hydrocarbons to be separated based on their unique dew points
  • chemically stable, flame resistant, insoluble in most solvents except strong alkalis and HF
  • typically applied as a protective layer (10-20% by weight) to protect HY-H or molecular sieve
