Natural Gas Mercury Removal
Overview of Mercury Removal
It’s not uncommon for mercury to be present in a natural gas stream, and this mercury needs to be removed to help prevent corrosion throughout the processing system and also to meet environmental regulations.
Our specialized adsorbents are able to remove mercury from Natural Gas streams to produce a higher value product. Upon reaching capacity, MercuRyd adsorbents can be regenerated, with the regeneration gas passing through a special mercury trap to remove the mercury from the regen stream and allowing the molecular sieve to be used repeatedly. These mercury adsorbents can be placed into an additional adsorbent unit, following the dehydration units, or is sometimes applied in a layered bed layout.
