Standard Type 13X – Molecular Sieve

Description

Type 13X Molecular Sieve is a synthetic zeolite with microporous aluminosilicate crystals composed of a silicon-oxy tetrahedron and an alumina tetrahedron. 13X Molecular Sieve is an X-type crystal with a pore size of 9 Angstroms in diameter and is less selectively adsorbent than Types 3A, 4A, and 5A.


Product Application

Standard 13X is commonly applied to remove water, carbon dioxide, and hydrocarbons from feed gas in air prepurification units prior to the cryogenic air separation. This Molecular Sieve also removes water, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, and high molecular weight sulfur compounds in LNG, LPG, and liquid hydrocarbon streams such as propane and butane. Type 13X can also be used in the deep dehydration of compressed air, instrument air, and inert gases, dehydration and purification ammonia synthesis gas, or to remove odorous sulfur compounds from aerosol propellants.
